READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles 1972 4-LP Box Alpha Omega Vol. 1 First Pink Labels with Errors and Corrections!

Most collectors are unaware of the problematic labels from the very first run of pink calamine lotion-colored labels.  They are as follows:

1.  Side 1, “Bangladesh,” rather than “Bangla Desh,” which was never corrected.

2.  Side 2, “I Can’t Buy Me Love,” which WAS corrected to “Can’t Buy Me Love,” making these labels very hard to find.

3.  Side 3, “I Should Have Known Better” uses the letter “I” as the song’s numeral, making it necessary to have the real numeral 1 floating by itself. Corrected on Cleveland pressings only.

4.  Side 5 is very interesting.  The very first labels issued were actually correct, in that they list the song, “She’s a Woman.”  All subsequent labels from both plants accidentally omitted the song when the above corrections were made, making this Side 5 label extremely hard to find.

**Check your set to see if you have the “I Can’t Buy Me Love” and “She’s a Woman” labels!**

Vinyl--- EX/EX. NM/NM. NM/NM. EX/NM.  Sides graded EX have just one or two very minor blemishes only, and cannot be felt with the fingertip.

Plates--- All plates bear the hand-etched letters, “ATRBH,” followed sequentially by Side 1 through Side 8, respectively.

Cover--- VG.  Moderate edgewear to all lips of the lid.  Both lid and tray are free of split seams.  One split corner by Ringo.  Back cover has moderate wear.

NO CRUSHED CORNERS (meaning splits that led to tearing of the lip, leaving flaps dangling) OF EITHER THE LID OR TRAY!

**Albums will ship behind the empty lid, in order not to damage the lid or tray during transport to you.**

Labels--- All labels are NM, nearly brand new-looking and freshly printed.

Inner Sleeves--- All sleeves are EX.  A little yellowing, but NO SEAM SPLITS.

VERY difficult to find these first-printed labels!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

**Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
