Description
This is a uniquely numbered Beatles collector’s item.
Vintage The Beatles WHITE ALBUM 2 LP album on thick black 12” 33 1/3 rpm vinyl.
Apple PMC 7067 /7068
MONO matrix
XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1 & 712-2 (ODD EVEN MATRIX on si.4!!!).
Original first pressing with “Sold in the U.K....” on the labels and a unique number on the cover.
This is THE COMPLETE SET.
THE VINYLs are used, but ok, except for an unfortunate scuff on si. 2 track2/3, causing playback trouble (I have incuded a photo of this scuff). Apart from this, it plays well through, with the occasional noises you would expect from a used record. It is very enjoyable listening to these great mono versions. Balanced mix with great clarity and loud output. Just one example: the effect achieved by the bass/guitar unison in ‘While My Guitar...” is just awesome! And there’s so much more........
The whole/half Apple labels are all in very fine condition.
The original BLACK INNER COVERS in rough but fragile Apple-paper are better than most, inevitable bottom split on one, some tear and wear around the openings and holes.
‘THE BEATLES’-embossed ALL WHITE TOP OPENING FLIP BACK GATEFOLD COVER by Garrods & Lofthouse is VG(-) condition, has handling signs and splitting at top end of spine.
THE COVER NUMBER is pretty low, No. 0125134, sharp clearly readable print - see the photos.
Comes with lyric-poster, small pinholes in the corners, otherwise ok fine.
4 FAB PHOTOS, usually missing, are all here, in nearmint unharmed condition!
NO TAPE NO WRITING NO STAMPS NO CUTS OR DRILLS NO STICKERS AT ALL ON THIS ITEM.
Considering its monoastic elusivity this is altogether a very decent, collectable and COMPLETE copy of a monumental limited release. Not least due to the highly unusual -2 matrix on side 4. Seldom seen.
Kick-off starting price - NO RESERVE.
Please check the pictures - I hope they are of use.
