READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles 2LP White Album 1971, Upside-Down Gatefold Slick! G cover, EX Vinyl COMPLETE!

Vinyl--- EX/ EX. EX/ EX.  All four sides could pass as NM to many collectors.  However, under a bright bulb, you can find tiny and light hairlines if you scrutinize.

Plates--- J44/ J43. J52/J48.  Hand-etched letter “O” in the dead wax on all 4 sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- VG.  Has moderate stains around the edges, light dirtwear.  Top seams are split.  Spine has a center split.  Gatefold has dirtwear and a center seam split.  Pencil writing on back cover.  See photo.

(This is also the only cover I’ve ever seen without the word, “Stereo” printed on the upper right back cover.)

Gatefold was applied upside-down!  Hard to see in the photos, because “The BEATLES” is embossed, but not very visible.  If you look at the photos, you will see the lettering on the cover upside-down, while the song titles in the gatefold are topside.

Labels--- NM/ NM. NM/ NM.  NO SPINDLE MARKS!

Poster--- EX.  Thinner 1971 paper stock, semi-gloss.  Bottom left corner has the “Apple Records, Inc.” disclaimer, which the 1968 posters did not.  This disclaimer was gone before the 1975 reissues were printed.  VERY MINIMAL AMOUNT OF FINGER DIVOTS, NO SPLITS.

Four Photos--- EX/ EX. EX/ EX.  Very minimal finger divots to each, otherwise NM.

Inner Sleeves--- Generic white.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
