Description
Here is one of the Beatles' famous "Butcher Covers", the peeled cover for a mono copy of the Yesterday and Today album. The peeled covers are known as "Third State" butcher covers because the trunk cover picture has been peeled off to reveal the original controversial Butcher photo cover. "First State" covers are the original Butcher pictures with nothing having been pasted over them (not many of them around), and "Second State" covers still have the tamer "trunk" covers pasted over the Butcher photos. The cover here is in fairly good condition, having obvious peel marks but nothing major torn off, just a couple of small places in the top right and lower left corners. It actually looks better than the photo scan shows. On the back, someone has written "26:50" in green marker, there is some minor ringwear, and a small brown stain at the top; otherwise, the back looks good. The record has the original Capitol rainbow label and is a VG+ with some faint scratches from light play. Also included is an original Capitol inner sleeve advertising their other albums. This item is part of a large Beatles collection I built over a 16-year period. E mail me with any questions. If you live outside the USA, I will send you info on shipping and insurance. Thanks for looking!
