Beatles 45 1969 Help! Far Scarcer Scranton “Subsidiary of…” Variation, EX!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
You’d think that living on the east coast my entire life, I’d have seen more of these. But the reality is that LA’s more common “Subsidiary of…” variation with micro text is the one that always turns up. See compere photo. In large part, that’s because Scranton also used the LA micro text on some of their pressings as well.
This copy out of Scranton has bolder, thicker text. Not seen very often at all.
And it’s in beautiful condition.
Vinyl: EX/EX. Not a NM record, but it’s close. Just one or two very light lines per side.
Plates: G6/F5. Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.
Labels: EX/NM. Side 1 has what looks like a grease pencil line drawn on it. Side 2 looks 1969-brand new store stock.
Sleeve: VG+. A few wrinkles and a sticker price tag stain on the front. Back has a couple price stickers, including the original one. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
**Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
