Beatles 45 McCartney 1972 Give Ireland Back to the Irish w/Picture Sleeve, VG+/NM!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

For sale this week are three tough to find McCartney 45’s with picture sleeves from the period when he was trying to get a foothold for Wings.  Please see them all!

Paul’s debut single with his new band, Wings was this good rocker that was in support of Ireland gaining their independence from Great Britain. It went number one in Ireland. But it got banned in the States for being a political statement.  Still, it reached number 21, not quite Top 20.  You can still find the 45 pretty easily, but the sleeve is starting to become scarce in good condition these days.  They deteriorate VERY easily.

Vinyl: NM/EX.  Side 1 looks unplayed.  Side 2 has a couple of tiny marks that won’t affect play.

Plates: Z3/Z3.  Machine-stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Labels: NM/NM.  Both labels look 1972-brand new.

Sleeve: VG+.  A strong grade for a hard sleeve.  Both sides have light areas of dirtwear and light ringwear.  One side seam has a split about one inch long.

**Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
