Beatles 45 & Picture Sleeve Why/ Cry for a Shadow 1964
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Who would I be insulting if I pointed out that this 45 and sleeve are rare?
Sleeve: A good first copy. The sleeve itself looks and presents very well. Has creases, light record outdent and some finger divots. I didn’t know when I bought it (because the seller didn’t mention it), but all three seams have been neatly Scotch taped. I never found another copy when I could afford it, so I still hate to sell this one. A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: Solid VG. LOTS of original shine all over it. Light lines on both sides, not bad at all. The worst of them is on the lip of Side 1 at the 7 o’clock position. IF they affect play, it won’t be for more than 4 or 5 rotations, the first few being in the silent groove.
Labels: Excellent labels if I’m picky.
Plates: N/A. MGM didn’t use the plate system.
I pass the torch to you to find an upgrade. I have too many bills to pay!
Be sure to check out the other records for sale this week. All are rare. You might find the perfect gift for your hard-to-shop-for loved one, or you may find a very cool gem for your own collection.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
