Beatles 45 rpm WHITE LABEL PROMO: "DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET / THANK YOU GIRL"  released as Vee Jay catalog number VJ-587 in March of 1964. EXTREMELY RARE!
There were 2 Versions of this RARE "PROMO". One had the title on the A-side on 3 separate lines, while the other had it on 2 lines. This is the 3 line version. It should be noted that the trail off area to the A-Side has the initials "URJ", a hand etched circled "R", and the machine stamped "MR" logo. The B-Side Trail off area is identical to the trail off of the stock VJ-587 (Brackets Label) which was pressed in styrene by Monarch Records. The vinyl surfaces have minor paper slides and only light surface issues. The labels are clean white as you can see with the noted exception of the typical marking on the A-Side (SEE PHOTOS) by a Disc Jockey noting the year ('64). Of course, there is NO SLEEVE.
Usually these PROMOS are found quite hammered, but not the case here. Very RARE and a very nice addition to any serious BEATLE record collector.
Only the right PRICE GUIDES will provide accurate values for records like this. That's why we use only the latest guides that focus specifically on BEATLE recordings. In this case, we use the most current guide published by Stanley Panenka, for accurate descriptions and realistic values. All other guides are at least 7 to 8 years old + and do not really reflect current market values regardless of who the publisher is or what his or her claims of expertise might be.  
(We do NOT use guides such as GOLDMINE due to the fact that they are too general and grossly undervalue RARE HIGH END items like this especially when it comes to major artists and/or super groups such as "THE BEATLES". You just don't see items like this very often especially in this condition in today's collector's market, but when you do, you need to grab it while its still available).

In every auction, we describe each item in great detail and  also post several explicit photos which illustrate all aspects of the listing. As professionals and as experts on records specifically by THE BEATLES , we feel that unless you can point out  any feature that indicates the item is either NOT AUTHENTIC, NOT PROPERLY DESCRIBED, or is DAMAGED, you will now have 24 HOURS from time of receipt to examine it and RETURN IT. It had  been suggested by some potential buyers that if they bought an item such as this, they may still feel the need for a "SECOND OPINION"; or "ADDITIONAL AUTHENTICATION" by shipping it to  others. Since we're in the business of "AUTHENTICATING" records, what would be the purpose  for this? The photos and description provide adequate information for anyone to determine  exactly what it is they are buying. We have to assume that anyone attempting to buy this item, is knowledgeable  enough on features which would determine its authenticity. Once it has been established that you understand  what you're buying and make the purchase, we'll ship it to you. When you receive it you will have 24 HOURS  as stated above to examine it or return it, ONLY if you can show that it is either not AUTHENTIC, DAMAGED, or  NOT AS DESCRIBED. You must contact us regarding any discrepancy IMMEDIATELY. The 24 HOUR WINDOW  guarantees we the seller that the item will only remain in your hands and will NOT travel elsewhere, risking  potential damage.
