Beatles 45 and Picture Sleeve 1964 Love Me Do, RARE Black Tollie EX/NM Vinyl!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
The picture sleeve is definitely a starter. But this copy with the black Tollie labels is by far, the best one I’ve ever seen since I started collecting way back in 1975. These things are NOT easy to find.
This is your keeper.
Picture Sleeve: G. Moderate to heavy ringwear, both sides. One side has a name written in dark felt tip, which blends in pretty well. Bottom seam has a one-inch split.
A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your Picture Sleeve sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: EX/NM. This copy occupies the space between EX and NM. Each side glows like a brand new record did back in 1964. Each side has one very short, very light line in a sea of brand new-looking vinyl.

Labels: NM/NM. Both labels look freshly-printed as they did in 1964. “Love Me Do” label has a cool little double-printed error, just for fun!
Plates: Very deep, sharp-looking “Audio Matrix.” Collectors know that if you don’t know what this insignia looks like, most Beatles Vee Jay products have completely worn stampers to the point of not being able to recognize them. You can clearly read the words, “Audio Matrix” on both sides of this copy.
“URJ” also looks like a very early example. Both sides feature the “URJ” hand-written stamps as though they were done in the person’s best penmanship, as compared to what it became later, when they got bored with the novelty.
If you happen to have a supernice example of the picture sleeve, this copy will complement perfectly your keeper copy of this stinkin’ rare label variation!
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
