Very simple. This collection contains records with all with great audio regardless of the age of any record. Just Listen for yourself and let your ears be the best rating scale. The common thread with these records is the audio...All of them are really exceptional.
1. Strawberry Fields Forever / Penny Lane:
The Beatles famous "Double A" sided single, Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane. Released in 1967.
This copy has the run time of Penny Lane at 3:00 instead of of 2:57.
This recording is in beautiful shape. Letter garde wise, NM- It is like new. Beautiful shine on luster. Both sides play beautifully. John Lennon called it his self described masterpiece. This is a very nice copy. Listen to it and enlarge pic as well. If you need this record to finish a collection you just found it.
2. Eleanor Rigby / Yellow Submarine:
Record is in NM or better shape. Released in 1966. East Coast Pressing. Original record sleeve in decent shape with some ring wear and sleeve has repaired split on right side. Vinyl full of luster. Record plays like new. No surface noise discernible..Capitol label is not centered correctly and about a quarter of an inch protrudes over album center where "Eleanor Rigby" is printed. One of those records where an error adds some value and looks cool too. Yellow Submarine side label is normally placed and centered. Best rating? Listen to it!
3. She Loves You / I'll Get You: Swan S-4152-S--VG+-NM
Released 3/1/ 1963. Thick print with quotations copy. Luster is very good. Grooves nice. Rating on this VG++ to NM for whole record. Real nice copy of one of their first and biggest hits on a unique label. Record label is absolutely beautiful. Printing is deep, no fading on one letter. Looks brand new. Just listen, no skips, no surface noise at all. Audio is very nice.
4. Please Please, Me / Not a Second Time: Vee Jay Brackets - 581
Recorded Nov.26,1962 (581) released Jan 30, 1964. This record is crazy. Freaked me out when I first listened to it. It sounds like I brought it yesterday. Label shows fading on rainbow ring, print very good and distinct. Label has no tears,marks etc. Audio is really something. Good luster, I also have the copy with "Don't Drop Out" on left side of record.Just an fyi.
5. Paul and Linda McCartney - Uncle/Albert..Too Many People..Apple 1837 with Apple Sleeve with thumb tab.
This is a rare recording in 1971, by the McCartney's on the Apple label. What really makes this particular record even more rare is the misspell of PUAL McCartney on B side.
The few copies I have found with the misspell are usually on the double uncut Apple label. This record is the sliced Apple version with the misspell of PUAL. good luster label like new, no marks,etc. Record is in NM condition. There is very minimal surface noise on two many people. Not even noticeable unless you really listen FOR it. Doesn't affect performance.
