The Beatles - Lot of 5 Original 1960's Indian LP's

On offer here are 5 original 1960's Beatles LP's. All of them are pressed in Dum Dum, India. All of them have the correct 1st press "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. This includes the rare 1st Indian Mono pressing of "Please Please Me". Unfortunately the overall condition is a bit tatty. However, Indian original pressings are difficult to find & generally do turn up in well worn condition. Playback is actually VG+ overall. I have listed them individually below:

1. Sgt. Pepper's... (Parlophone PMC 7027 LP 1967)

Original Indian Mono pressing. It has a card single sleeve which has a paste-on front & rear. Manufactured in Dum Dum, India. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has grooved "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have the "Made in India by The Gramophone Co..." & "Regd. Td. Mks. of The Gramophone Co..." texts. The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1. It comes with a 1960's UK pressed "Emitex" inner sleeve. This is in vg+ condition. 

Sleeve: There is a 9 cm seam split at the top opening. There is also a 9 cm thin strip of tape at the bottom sleeve opening. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the spine. VG- condition.

Vinyl: Moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. And a couple of light marks. Good++ condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays very well overall but with some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places.

2.  Help! (Parlophone PMC 1255 LP 1965)

Original Indian Mono pressing. It has a matt flipback sleeve. Manufactured in Dum Dum, India. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has grooved "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have the "Made in India by The Gramophone Co..." & "Regd. Td. Mks. of The Gramophone Co..." texts. The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 549-2 and XEX 550-2. It comes with its original polythene inner sleeve which is in vg condition. 

Sleeve: There is a 3 cm seam split at the spine. There is some tape residue around it. The front sleeve has suffered some rippling. There is some fading to the sleeve too. Good++ condition.

Vinyl: Mild to moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. And a very few light hairline marks. VG- condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. Plays very well overall but with some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places.

3. With The Beatles (Parlophone PMC 1206 LP 1963)

Original Indian Mono pressing. It has a matt flipback sleeve. Manufactured in Dum Dum, India. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has grooved "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have the "Made in India by The Gramophone Co..." & "Regd. Td. Mks. of The Parlophone Co..." texts. The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 447-7N and XEX 448-7N. It comes with its original polythene inner sleeve which is in vg condition. 

Sleeve: There is a 8" seam split along the majority of the bottom edge. There is a 4" seam split at the top opening. There is some tape residue around 3 sides on the front & rear. The front sleeve has suffered some rippling. There is some fading to the sleeve too. Good condition.

Vinyl: Mild to moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. And a few light marks. Good++ condition. The labels are very nice and clean & show very mild spindle wear only. Plays very well overall but with some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places.

4. A Hard Day's Night (Parlophone PMC 1230 LP 1964)

Original Indian Mono pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. Manufactured in Dum Dum, India. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has grooved "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have the "Made in India by The Gramophone Co..." & "Regd. Td. Mks. of The Parlophone Co..." texts. The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 481-3N and XEX 482-3N. It comes with its original polythene inner sleeve which is in vg condition. 

Sleeve: There is some mild laminate peeling to the front. There is some fading, ringwear & mild staining to the rear. VG- condition.

Vinyl: Moderate sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. And some light marks. Good condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays well overall but with some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places.

5. Please Please Me (Parlophone PMC 1202 LP 1963)

Original Indian Mono pressing. It has a matt flipback sleeve. Manufactured in Dum Dum, India. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has grooved "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have the "The Parlophone Co..." text around the perimeter of the label.

They do not have the  "Made in India by The Gramophone Co..." & "Regd. Td. Mks. of The Parlophone Co..." texts. This denotes the earliest possible Indian Mono pressing!

The 1st press matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N. It comes with its original polythene inner sleeve which is in vg condition. 

Sleeve: There is a 9" seam split along the majority of the bottom edge. There is a 4" seam split at the middle spine. There is some tape residue around 3 sides on the front & rear. There is some fading to the sleeve too. Good condition.

Vinyl: The vinyl was kept in a PVC outer sleeve. This has left moderate marks/ streaks on the vinyl. These do not affect play. There are some light marks too. Fair+ condition. The labels are clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays very well overall but with some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places.

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).

Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
