Description
Ebay ! There is a seller that I cannot mention on eBay that sells only Beatles , mostly USA pressings. All his albums are in this condition, again mostly Capitol. He sells this copy, in this condition for $500.and he sells them all. He has a stellar reputation in respect to grading. But last I checked the Beatles 65 with Subsidiary label, which apparently was only pressed for very short time, the price was $500.00 .Ebay first thing, they ask if new or used, they don’t consider some people have collected for close to sixty years, or were in the music business. In any event this is a Capitol Records Beatles 65 released in Dec. 1964. This is a second pressing Rainbow label with Subsidiary which was released only for a few months in 1968 , that’s what this pressing is. It STEREO , much different than the English pressings ( I generally only sell first pressing UK albums ) . I just opened the Shrink on this last week to be certain which pressing this was. The RIAA number is 6 ,meaning this is a Los Angeles pressing, apparently the most coveted . I got this from an A&R man at Capitol Records in LA in 1969. I just stockpiled all these “ gifts “ matrix etched ST 1 2228 A7 and ST 1 2228 B 10 , has starburst in deadwax. This is a rare find in mint condition. The back cover is as white as it was 50 years ago. NO RINGWEAR ! Shipping in USA is $4.00 I reuse mailers to save you money . Rest of world $14.00 . Will not sell to Russia ,China ,Portugal .
