The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night

(Parlophone PMC 1230 UK LP 1964)

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". It has a mid sized "Mono" on the front. It comes with its original tracing-paper lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve.

The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. They have "The Parlophone Co. Ltd...", "Recording First..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. Side 1's label has the "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole. The record has 1st press XEX 481-3N and XEX 482-3N matrix numbers. The mother stampers are GDR 5 and GRO 1 respectively. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing.


Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate fading to the "white" of the sleeve. There are four small stains on the rear sleeve. There is mild, very mild or more moderate rubbing wear at the sleeve opening edges. This is not that noticeable. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. Very Good minus condition

Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. There is a very light 3 cm "V" shaped surface hairline mark on Side 1. There are 3 other light hairline surface marks. These measure from 1 cm to 2 cm in length. Overall, Very Good+ condition. There is a small 1964 "Wells Music Stores" stamp on Side 2's label. Otherwise, the labels are in Excellent condition & show light spindle wear. The Emitex company inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There is more moderate fading.  

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
