The Beatles - A Hard Days Night
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional copy of the Beatles' fourth studio album, A Hard Days Night.
This fantastic album is a much sought after UK stereo 1st pressing released on the desirable yellow and black Parlophone label.
Upon the release of A Hard Days Night in October of 1964 sales of mono records far outnumbered sales of stereo records. Consequently, stereo copies of A Hard Days Night such as the one for sale in this listing are much rarer than the mono equivalent. Finding an original copy in such superb EX+ condition is particularly difficult. Here is a great opportunity to add such a record to your collection!

The matrix numbers confirm that the record is a first press. The mother & stamper codes communicate that the vinyl was produced early in the production cycle. Consequently the audio reproduction is superb! Take a listen yourself below.
The labels are the third variant evident by the large STEREO text printed above the 'Sold in U.K. ..' line of text.
The vinyl is housed within the original front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve with mid-sized, outline 'STEREO' text to the top right hand corner of the front side.
The album is complete with the original polythene lined die-cut Emitex 'protect your records' inner sleeve.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT +
Labels: EXCELLENT +
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only one or two spindle marks are visible to either side.
Visual: EXCELLENT
The vinyl displays superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight one or two surface paper scuffs are visible to both sides. None can be felt. Under the glare of a halogen bulb a handful of wispy hairlines can be seen alongside an iridescent rainbow shine. A really strong example.
Sound Quality: MINT -

As can be heard from the recordings, the vinyl sounds fantastic. The lead-ins are very quiet. A little static can be heard in the first two song breaks on side 1. Otherwise it is remarkably quiet between tracks. There is very little else to note. There is superb clarity and distinction to all sections. There is great channel separation. You will struggle to find a better listening experience - a true final upgrade.
The sleeve looks fantastic. The front maintains the original vibrant colours. The laminate retains the original lustre. The rear is very clean. There is no ring wear. The spine is without wear. The top and bottom edge are without wear. The top right and bottom left corners have subtle bumps. There is nothing else wrong with this first rate sleeve.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The original inner sleeve looks great. It is very clean, has minimal discolouration and shows only minor creasing.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test was performed the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution) and then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve, both of which are stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
