THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This superb UK mono 1st pressing dates from initial July 1964 release and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd....' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper codes: 4/AMR & 7/AMR
Disc weight: 160g
The disc is housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both labels are clean & bright with just a handful of light spindle trails and a tiny scratch around the side 1 cnetre hole, where even a sliver of the silver centre hole marker remains.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surface are extremely clean and free from any noticeable surface marks or wear on strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveal some harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal/storage, but no other blemishes or wear. Both sides of this high-quality pressed disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This superb warm and clean sounding copy has received onyl careful, minimal play on good equipment and plays without any groove/playwear to any track on either side. In fact, apart from a touch of normal/light background between tracks, my single careful play-check at volume detected no other audible distractions or wear of any kind.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A highly impressive example which retains a richly coloured, clean & high-gloss front panel which is free from any thumbnails or creasing. All corners are clean & sharp with just a tiny bruise to the upper right and a trace of wear to the front opening edge only. The easily blemished rear panel is pristine clean & white with no marks of any kind anywhere.
All flipbacks are fully intact with just a slight lift to the edge towards the left corner, but both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some age-tonig to the paper but no writing, tears or seam splits.
