This fine sounding, hard to find initial 1st UK pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3058

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with 'mid-sized' front stereo indicator.

Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1

Both are clean & bright with some spindle marks & hole wear, most notably so on label 2.

Visual: VERY GOOD +

Clean, bright & deep-gloss playing surfaces which display a small number some insignificant faint surface marks in strong daylight, consistent with inner-sleeve removal but certainly no major blemishes or wear. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some harmless wispy paper hairlines. Both sides of this quality, heavy copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Play: EXCELLENT

This extremely respectable sounding copy has received frequent, but careful play on good quality equipment. My careful play-check at volume found no significant deterioration or groovewear on any track. Side 1 begins with an unworn opening chord and the only wear audible on that side is a hint of light background on 'And I Love Her'. Side 2 plays cleanly & clearly with just a touch of light background between tracks and on the final track, but certainly nothing else worth of note. There are no clicks, pops, ticks or any other such distraction to either side of this well looked after copy.

Cover

VERY GOOD +

A strong and bright example with a clean & glossy front panel laminate which displays handful of small 'thumbnails' towards the opening edge and a single bend on the upper left corner but no other significant signs of wear. There is some shelfwear bruising to the right corners and light wear to the opening edges but no tears or major damage anywhere. The rear panel is white and displays just a handful of minor age-related blemishes but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and all seams & the fully worded spine are unstressed and unsplit.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD

Clean & crisp with some toning along the upper edge but no writing, tears or seams splits.
