THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This rare UK MONO 2nd mispressing dates from 1968 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1230
This copy is notable for the fact 'I Shouljd Have Known Better' on the side 1 label is misspelt 'I Should Have Know Better'
This error is even missing from Bruce Spizer's newly published 'The Beatles For Sale on Parlophone Records' book.
Both labels omit 'Sold in UK...' text but have 'The Gramophone Co...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 2 centre hole.

Stamper codes: 3/GRH & 2,6/GRG
Disc weight: 145g
Housed in a hard to find front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small front mono indicator.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A moderate amount of light spindle marks around each centre hole but no major wear.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean and glossy but do display several light surface marks and stylus hairlines each side, along with just a single 3mm feelable scratch on track 5 on side 2. However, both sides of this rare copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: GOOD
This copy has been played many times and some play wear is audible in the form of light background and there are a handful of clicks on 'You Can't Do That'. However, there are no jumps, repeats or any other major audible faults anywhere on this rare copy.
Cover: VERY GOOD
A clean & strong example with light to moderate handling/storagewear without any major faults. The front panel is clean & glossy with just four light 'thumbnails' and a small bend in the lower right corner. There is light wear to the others and to the openig edges but no tears or splits. The rear panel is clean overall with mild age-toning and the original retailer's stamp but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are intact and both seams and the spine are smooth and undamaged.
