Featured here is the SCARCE UK 1970’s issue of The Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ LP, SCARCE because this Album, although an Official UK Issue, was manufactured by EMI in France for the UK Market. As you will see from the label scans provided, the record labels both have the UK catalogue number and the wording ‘Mfd. In UK’ as well as the wording ‘Made in France by Pathe Marconi’. Additionally, the trail out groove has both the UK & FRENCH machine stamped Matrices.
For your information this album was manufactured by the EMI/France Pressing Plant, whilst the UK EMI Pressing Plant in Hayes Middlesex England was undergoing refurbishment!
The album is on the Traditional DARK GREEN APPLE Label and the matrixes are as follows.
Side 1: YEX 749-2 & also on side one, M6 297252, and side 2,YEX 750-1 & also on side 2, M6 297253.
Both sides of the record labels are in STUNNING Mint Minus condition, beautiful undamaged record labels.
And both sides of the Vinyl Disc are also in FABULOUS Mint Minus condition – lovely Bright new looking Vinyl surfaces, showing only a couple of hairlines.
The sound quality of this French Pressing is superb, there is no surface noise, skips, or clicks.
The vinyl disc comes in a white Made in England record bag,the bag has a small tear to the top edge.
The Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is also in superb Mint Minus condition – a LOVELY Bright and Clean sleeve, with Mirror gloss lamination, showing only the mildest of disc indentation.
Not to be underestimated, this is a SCARCE Official UK Pressing of The Beatles Abbey Road album – not often seen in stock and missed by many collectors at the time.< THANK YOU for expressing an interest in this Auction.
