THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
1969 UK 1st PRESS APPLE LP
**MISALIGNED APPLE COVER**
This fine 1969 1st pressing is on the UK dark green Apple label: PCS 7088
The side 2 label includes the 'Her Majesty' title.
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with misaligned Apple logo on the rear panel.
Complete with an original die-cut matt black inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1
Stamper numbers: 4/OLR & 1/MHM
Labels: Side 1: MINT Side 2: NEAR MINT
Just a few faint spindle trails to label 2 only.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Pristine surfaces viewed in natural light and bearing just some light marks under a halogen desk lamp from long-term storage in the rough black inner-sleeve.
However, this LP has been played only a few times and there are no scuffs or scratches to either side.
100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This is a fine 'as new' sounding copy with no crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
Even the delicate introduction to 'Here Comes The Sun' & the dead grooves before 'Her Majesty' play perfectly without any interference.
Graded at volume, I detected no clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or any other audible wear anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A super example retains its high-gloss laminate which bears just a few light edge wrinkles and four small 'thumbnail' creases.
There is a small bump to the upper-left corner and just a trace of wear to the opening edge but no major damage elsewhere.
The rear panel is in perfect condition and the spine & seams are all completely intact, clean & undamaged.
Black Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
No splits, tears or creases.
