Description

The Beatles - Abbey Road

(Apple PCS 7088 UK LP 1969)

This is an original UK LP pressing. It has a fully laminated sleeve which has an extremely thin spine. It has a misaligned "Apple" logo on the rear sleeve. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has dark green "Apple" labels. It has 1st press YEX 749-2 and YEX 750-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are MAG 6 and RPL 5 respectively.

This is a genuine UK 1st pressing with a misaligned Apple logo on the rear sleeve. It has the earliest matrix numbers & has no "Her Majesty" on Side 2's label. These are quite rare.

Sleeve: There is a 1 cm area of more moderate rubbing wear at the bottom sleeve opening. There is some light or mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. There is some light or mild ringwear. VG+ condition

Vinyl: There are some light to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are approx 8 light hairline marks. These vary in size from 1 cm to 5 cm in length. VG condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show mild spindle wear. The company plain inner sleeve is in VG condition. There is a 4 cm seam split at the centre of the bottom seam. some light to mild ringwear & creasing.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall. There is some light or very light crackle in a few quieter places. There are a few very light clicks on "Because". Overall a very reasonable audio copy.
