Up for sale is an original first U.S. pressing of Abbey Road, issued in 1969 on Apple Records. On this earliest edition, “Her Majesty” is absent from both the sleeve and the labels — the defining hallmark of the very first U.S. copies. These short-lived pressings were among the first to reach stores, preceding the later corrected versions.
Early “Her Majesty”-omitted copies are difficult to find, but examples preserved in this condition are in a completely different league – the vinyl retains full gloss and the jacket is nearly perfect.
