Front Cover
Fully laminated with some very minor ringwear and some very light edge and surface creases; some light corner wear. Very little of the drain cover is visible; much less of the trees at the top left and top right are visible when compared to the ‘aligned’ version (which I also have on eBay – have a look and see for yerself! Compare and Contrast!). A very presentable cover…

Rear Cover
As front – clean and shiny with very little to its detriment. The sleeve has the apple misaligned and shows five black circles, compared with eight on the ‘aligned’ version; also, much less of the foliage and the building at the top are visible in comparison. Printing is by Garrod & Lofthouse.

Spine
Fully intact; no creases or damage; all text clearly visible! See Photos - A nice, clean example!

Inner Sleeve / Inserts
Comes with a white paper sleeve with ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’ and ‘Made In England’.

Side 1
Vinyl has some light hairline marks and scuffs but nothing serious; still a decent sheen to it. The label has some very light spindle-wear that is only visible in certain light conditions from certain angles. Do you REALLY want to play it? It's ABBEY ROAD by The Beatles FFS!!!!

Side2
More or less as side 1 but with a few more visible light scratches, the main one being at the 5 o clock position and about 2 cm long; it is visible in the last photo, below. Label again has very light spindle wear. No ‘Her Majesty’ listed on the label.

The reason I haven’t been able to play the records I sell is because, unfortunately, I lost my hearing in one ear a few years ago. As I’m sure you will appreciate, especially if you’re a music lover like me, this is a little inconvenient to say the least! The hi-fi was consigned to the attic. I now only listen to music in the car on CD where I can turn it up to 11 and at least hear something.

I will begin playing the vinyl I sell, mainly to check for sticking, skipping, distortion, static, crackling etc. and so potential buyers can get a better idea. I certainly don’t listen for ‘enjoyment’; if you’ve ever listened to music with a hearing aid you’ll know how shit it sounds; if you haven’t, then count yourself lucky!

This copy of Abbey Road I have played right through. There is no sticking, jumping etc. The only thing is light static crackle in the background; this is, of course, most evident on the quiet passages. It's vinyl; it's over forty years old; it's been played. I make no claims that it is 'mint'. I'd be very suspicious of anyone claiming to have a mint copy (by which I mean an as-new, unplayed and untouched copy).

I have to say, I’m not particularly a Beatles fan but I really enjoyed this LP (sits back and waits for accusations of philistinism). I was surprised at the warmth and depth of the sound and it was a better sound than a CD. But that’s subjective of course. Because I’m partially deaf. Did I mention that?

I sell records as a collector to collectors, mainly. They are cultural, artistic and historical artefacts (probably). If you want a copy that plays impeccably with pristine sound reproduction I suggest you listen via CD or buy a newly pressed LP. Or you could maybe ‘download’ it. Ones and zeroes with no tangible existence…now that is true philistinism!
