"Ain't She Sweet" was composed by Milton Ager (music) and Jack Yellen (lyrics) and first published in 1927. Milton Ager wrote "Ain't She Sweet" for his daughter Shana Ager, who was later known as the political commentator Shana Alexander. The song became popular in the first half of the twentieth century, and was one of the songs that typified the Roaring Twenties. Both Ager and Yellen were elected to the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

"Ain't She Sweet" was recorded by the Beatles with John on lead vocals. It was recorded on June 23, 1961 at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, Hamburg, Germany, with Pete Best on drums, and was released on May 29, 1964 in the UK on Polydor, and July 1, 1964 in the U.S., on the Atco label. It was also included on the Beatles’ Anthology 1 album in 1995. A different rendition, recorded during a jam session in 1969 with Ringo on drums, was released on the Beatles' Anthology 3, making it the only song which appears on two of the Anthology records.

“Nobody’s Child” was records a day or two before “Ain’t She Sweet,” with Tony Sheridan taking the lead and the Beatles providing back-up.

This auction is for an original Atco 45 of “Ain’t She Sweet” backed with “Nobody’s Child”, with the original Atco Picture Sleeve. The Record is in Very Good+ condition, with clean labels without writing, stickers or ring wear, but some discoloration can be detected when looked at from an angle. The Sleeve is in Very Good+ condition, with  no seam splits, some signs of wear, and three small tears on the top.
