U.S. Capitol 45 with West Coast Picture Sleeve
Capitol 5235 - 1964"And I Love Her,” the fifth track on the Beatles' A Hard Day’s Night LP, was written mainly by Paul. It was released July 20, 1964 by Capitol with "If I Fell" as the B-Side.
“And I Love Her” was one of the first ballads with a title that starts in mid-sentence. Paul was pleased with himself that he came up with this idea. Although the song was written mainly by Paul, John claimed that he contributed the middle eight section ("A love like ours/Could never die/As long as I/Have you near me". Also, George came up with the main riff.
"If I Fell" was written by John and also appeared on the UK A Hard Day's Night LP and on Something New in the U.S.
“And I Love Her” backed with “If I Fell” reached Number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This auction is for original U.S Capitol 45 of “And I Love Her” backed with “If I Fell”. The Record is in Very Good condition, with clean, unblemished labels showing a bit of ring wear. The Picture Sleeve is the West Coast variety and is in Near Mint condition, with only the slightest bit of wrinkling at the top.
