Description
Offered here is this classic Beatles U.S. lp BEATLES VI Capitol T - 2358. Originally released in 1965, this particular variation is the late 1966 or early 1967 pressing. This lp is unique cause this is a later Jacksonville MONO pressing with machine parts that pressed the lp from the East and West coast. On side 1 the matrix # stamper are from the Scranton plant, plus the triangle, and side 2 the matrix # is hand etched, plus the * is shown as well to produce this Beatles title for the Midwest States cause Capitol’s Jacksonville Illinois plant didn’t have their own pressing plates for this title yet. Basically the only thing Jacksonville about this album is the in-house labels, and the # 4 on the back cover, along with the JACKSONVILLE, ILL information too ( look at photos ) The lp is at best VG++ more or less with NM labels. The cover grades at VG- maybe better, some discoloration and minor dirt ring impression on the back, about an inch and a half at the bottom at the mouth opening, couple minor crackling spots on the spine, no writing or other splits, still a solid cover, and comes with it’s original Capitol tan sleeve. So if you’re looking for this hard to find later Mono pressing for this Beatles title, in my opinion is more rarer than it’s East and West coast mono counterparts, it’s here!
