“Yesterday…and Today” Butcher Cover
Third-state cover (peeled)
You all know the story of the scandalous and outrageous cover. This copy (cover only - no LP) is an East Coast (Scranton factory) version in the rarer STEREO form.
The peel job is very high quality, and although there are some barely noticeable glue lines, the entire butcher picture is intact. See the picture of the opening to Ringo's right -- there is some minor damage there.
There is moderate ring wear and staining on the back cover, and some minor seam splitting at the very bottom right, which is barely noticeable. The other two seams are fully intact.
Overall this is a VG+ cover, in the rareer STEREO form (mostly Mono covers on eBay).
As it should be with a STEREO cover, the back view features not only The Beatles' other albums, but also the “Full Dimensional Stereo” banner at the top, and the front cover also features a "Full-Dimensionl Stereo" banner.
In the lower right corner on the back, just to the left of the RIAA logo, is a “2”, indicating it was pressed at the Scranton, PA plant.
