Description
This is a rare one...It is dated the week of November 2,1968. It features radio personalities from 5 cities around the world playing what are the biggest records in their various countries. The Beatles are featured by Alan Freeman from Radio Luxembourg playing Hey Jude. Here is the lineup-LONDON-Kenny Everett-Listen to Me by The Hollies, 1, 2, 3, Red Light by the 1910 Fruitgum Co., Tiger Woman by The Move. VIENNA-Ernst Greissmann-Es Liegt Nur An Dir-Buddy Caine, Jumpin'Jack Flash-The Rolling Stones, And At Night-The Lords. MONTREAL-Born to Be Wild-Steppenwolf, Shoot 'Em Up Baby-Andy Kim, The Weight by "Music From Big Pink (sic) ...The Band. AMSTERDAM- Do It Again-The Beach Boys, Lovely Loretta-The Buffoons, On the Road Again-Canned Heat. LUXEMBOURG-Alan Freeman-Hey Jude-The Beatles,The House That Jack Built-Aretha Franklin, Those Were the Days-Mary Hopkin. The only flaw in this lp is that the cities of Amsterdam and Luxembourg are scratched over in blue pen on side 2. The vinyl itself is Mint. Program segments are 10 minutes each. The front cover of this album is perfect. The blank back side has a small brown stain no more than 1/4 inch in diameter. There is a 1 inch seam breach on the spine.
