First pressing Canada with the above matrix from late 1963 - the first Beatle album on Capitol records released in North America. It only came out with this title and this cover design in the relatively speaking small Canadian market and is thus that much harder to find. This is the 1st of 3 albums (along with Twist and Shout and Long Tall Sally). that came out only in Canada. Like the other two, this album has 14 tracks which is the number of songs on all early uk & Euro albums - Other that these, North Beatle albums before Sgt Pepper only have 11 or 12. We are offering copies of Twist and Shout and Long Tall Sally on these listings. 
Condition: the vinyl is visually Fair on side 1 and VG on side 2. There is next to no play interference in the play of the music - only a couple of seconds of very soft surface noise during a song fade out - right at the end where the music is getting softer (this happens 4 or 5 times. Nothing significant) . A bit - not a lot - of soft surface noise between some tracks and in the run in run out grooves. 
The cover is EX (excellent) condition. No seam splitting and no cut out hole. Very slight discoloration / yellowing on the back cover as in the photo. Very, very fain crease mark on the front towards the right - too faint to show up in the photo - very minor imperfections in the "barely worth mentioning." department. Name and address label attached to the side one record label. 
With hindsight, It has always struck me as notable that in just a few months, the Beatles, all over the world, would be literally "bigger than Christ" (as John Lennon got into trouble for saying )... and yet on this album cover just a few months earlier, it was felt necessary to print positive review blurbs ....becausee hardly anyone in North America knew much, if anything, about them yet.
