THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
1969 UK **3rd STEREO** PRESSING LP
**WITHOUT 'SOLD IN UK..' TEXT**
This was the final version of the iconic yellow and black Parlophone label to be produced before being replaced by the 'One EMI Box' label in late 1969.
This version is indentified by the omission of the 'Sold in UK...' label text dropped from all EMI product in June 1969.
This rare 1969 3rd stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front and rear laminated, gatefold cover with white inner 'flipbacks'.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 4/PD & 1,7/OL

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean and bright surfaces bearing a few 'fingernail' scuffs light scratches hairlines directly under a halogen desk lamp but no deep/'feelable' marks.
Pressed on quality vinyl which lies 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Bright, clear and clean sound on every track with no hint of crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
Both run-ins are silent with just a few feint soft 'ticks' audible between some tracks but no heavy clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.
A superb sounding copy with the 'breath of life' stereo mix.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
A well-preserved example of this easily damaged cover with an uncreased front panel bearing just some light wear to the upper edge.
The delicate side and lower edges are sharp, clean and unworn with no rubbing or tears.
There is a 1cm tear to the upper spine corner but the lower is undamaged and the spine is unsquashed, square and readable with no other damage.
The inside is clean, black with no marks or writing, and the rear panel is clean and bright with no creasing or other damage.
