Description
Rare, Historic Beatles Butcher Album Original Owner. I bought this when I was a teen when all I thought about was John Lennon. After close to 40 years, and since I only played it for a year or so, it's time to pass it on. The original Butcher cover shows the Beatles holding cuts of meat and dolls and was offensive, so they did a paste over rather than destroy the records. I'm not an expert on Beatles albums but if you want more info on grading Beatles albums, Rare Beatles has extensive information to help you in your bidding. Please look at the photos and email me with any questions. Be patient - they may take time to load. If you prefer super-sized photos, they are available here. Description The Beatles Yesterday and Today Paste Over. 1966. 33 RPM LP (12-inch). Mono. 2nd State. There is a RIAA symbol on the back with the number 6. The cover has a small area on the lower right where it started to peel. The cover is intact except for a small seam on the lower right. You can see Ringo's V-neck through the paste over. This includes the original vintage Capitol Records orange paper dust sleeve, in good shape except for a small split in the middle of the lower seam.
Though the record has a few scratches, I don't remember any problems with playing it. (However, if I had any problems back then, I would have tossed it.) I don't have a record player to test how it currently plays, though. Side 1 is marked T-2553 (T-1-G-242553). Side 2 is marked T-2-2553-F-17).
