I will be listing a wide variety of obscure and collectible records from a lifetime 45 year collection of several thousand LP's. I have collected for quite some time and have some fairly unusual and nice pieces.

I am an experienced seller and collector who has collected for over 40 years. I am familiar with both visual and play grading. I sold audio equipment for over 25 years.

These LP's have been played on quality gear since I have owned them. I use to sell high end audio equipment for a living.  If you are interested in multiple pieces please let me know and I am glad to combine shipping.

If the Media rate seems a couple of dollars high, it is because the item includes insurance on higher priced LP's, and also includes the cost of new mailers to insure safe arrival.

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a copy of Yesterday and Today as released by The Beatles in 1966. this is an unpeeled second state cover.

I grade conservatively, as I would rather customers be pleasantly surprised as opposed to disappointed.

Cover Grade:  Front VG++  /  Back VG to VG+ with some wear. 

Vinyl Visual Grade:  VG++ to NM

Vinyl Play Grade:  VG++ to NM

Grading wise I do not really call any vinyl Mint.

This is an original copy of The Beatles Yesterday and Today. Released in 1966, this is an unpeeled paste over Butcher Cover, referred to as a Second State cover. So many of the paste over covers have been chemically peeled, that the second state butcher covers are actually the most difficult to find a clean copy of.

This copy is a Stereo Pressing cataloged as ST-2553. It is a copy pressed at the best Capitol plant in LA, as designated by the 5 on the lower right corner of the cover back. LA pressings are considered to be better quality than the other production facilities. 

The cover front shows very little wear, and I would grade it visually at a VG++ strong. There is minor wear, but nothing distracting. The back of the cover shows some wear and discoloration, especially at the bottom as shown in my images. I would rate the back as a VG to VG+.

The vinyl is in very good condition with a rating of VG++ to NM. Side 1 label has an old label maker label attached as shown. This could likely be removed with the use of lighter fluid without much residual distractions being left.
