Description

Own a piece of Beatles history and my childhood.

First generation?  Second Generation?  Third Generation?  I think this qualifies as 3rd, but really, this is from my generation.  I was a teenager when I bought this album a year or two after it had been released.  I'd gone to a record store with a friend who was a Beatles fan and he explained to me about Capitol Records reissuing the original Butcher cover LP with the tamer trunk cover.  He convinced me to buy it.  I then used my parents' tea kettle and steamed off the outer cover, doing a pretty good job if I do say so myself.

Here's the rub (little humor there) - what I always thought were areas where I'd removed a bit too much, under magnification look to be pieces of the top trunk cover that can still be removed.  So this could look even better.  The top seam has a 3/4" split right in the middle and a 1/4" split at the lower right corner by the opening.  Otherwise, what you see is what you get.  The vinyl is in great shape because I really wasn't much of a fan.  Besides, you couldn't turn on the radio back then without hearing the Beatles.

Everything is original, the cover that I revealed 40 years ago, the almost never played record, and the inner sleeve.  I wish I looked as good.

I'll ship by Priority Mail which should be around $7.50 and I think it should be insured which could be another $2.50-$5.00.
