Description

BEAUTIFUL 3RD STATE MONO!   The original trunk cover was removed by the master Jim Henson of Blue Jay Way revealing the "flawless" close to first state looking Butcher Cover slick. The cover was constructed at the Los Angeles plant; noted by the number 6 on the bottom right of the back cover. The Los Angeles covers are famous for their bold picture and vivid color. This one is truly that!  With the cover, you will receive a nice VG condition original mono record which plays and sounds great, the original orange Capitol inner sleeve and a photocopy of the recall letter sent from Capitol asking the radio stations to return the record.                                                                                                                                                                                  There is slight yellowing along the front edges where the trunk slick was removed and slight yellowing on the back cover. There is some flaking of the spine on small portions of the letters "R" in YESTERDAY and the "H" in THE and a split on the catalog number on the spine that has been repaired. On the back there is a  1" crinkle under the catalog number/High Fidelity area and two small crinkles near the bottom. All in all I'd grade this cover VG+ because of the items mentioned. The front slick an absolute beauty...a keeper!
