Description

The Beatles Can't Buy Me Love Picture Sleeve PS 45 1st Pressing No Subsidiary

This is a copy of the rarest of Beatles Picture Sleeve 45s, the 1964 single "Can't Buy Me Love" b/w "You Can't Do That." (Note - I've scanned the flipside of the cover to show the affixed 79-cent price tag, miraculously still on the sleeve.) Both sleeve and record show some wear and tear - the top corners of the sleeve are crinkled, there is a seam split on the right hand side that runs about halfway down, where the glue has worn off and the two sides have separated. Despite these flaws, there's a bit of wear from handling and the usual slight creasing along the areas where there's no pressure from the vinyl to keep the sleeve flat. The vinyl itself is actually in fine VG condition, plays great, looks about rough but with no bad scratching or popping - but of course that matters very little, since it's the sleeve that is the prized item here. It is, however, the original issue of the 45, without the "Subsidiary of Capitol" legend at the bottom of the label.

Note - the color scans seemed to make the sleeve look a good deal more yellow than it actually appears. I've added a black and white image as well to somewhat redress the balance.

No reserve on this treasure. Happy bidding. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions about this great item or would like additional pictures.
