Description

Beatles Christmas Album  given to members of their fan club in early 1971. On the apple label no SBC100 matrix numbers are SBC 2 100 B  and SBC 1 100 A, there is a very fine stamped "bell sound"  and an sf and a crude triangle with a line of it , which might be a rifle meaning it was pressed by capitol at the winchester factory , there is also an indentation about 1.5" out as described below from one web site below.
this LP has been counterfited but by what I have read and as far as I can tell this is the genuine thing.

from American web page.
I have an original I received from the Beatles fan club at the time. The images are nice and sharp on the cover. The blue is slightly metallic. The cover is heavy gray cardboard. Hand etched in the run out is "SBC-100A" (or B), a fancy stamped "Bell Sound", a hand etched "sf " and a hand etched symbol that looks like a triangle with a line coming from one point.
from all experts .com
However, if it isn't then authenticating a copy is much easier and more reliable. All authentic copies of the Christmas Album were pressed by Capitol at its Winchester, Virginia factory. The pressing machines used there left a 1 ½" diameter indentation ring which is 5/8" out from the center hole. If the LP has a different sized indentation, or if there is no indentation there at all then it is a fake, even if everything else appears to be correct. Most fakes have a significantly larger indentation ring, but any copies that don't have this 1 ½" diameter indentation were not pressed by Capitol and thus not authentic.
The statement from all experts seems to contradict it self , the album i have has a indentation line about 1 1/2" " from the centre hole there is another indentation line about 5/8" outside that.

the sleeve stained with old sellotape all round the three closed edges.and the printing is worn where the edge of the LP is.
The LP is bright with light surface marking.it has been played you can see the record player pin marks around the centre hole.
