BEATLES. FILE UNDER. This is the rarer Double Album ser. Most versions of this compilation were single volumes, 1 and 2. Each volume is currently selling for about $30 each, or more. This was a 1980s precursor to the Beatles Sessions LP that was developed then shelved around 1987 and eventually became the 3 Volume 9 disc LP Anthology set of 1995-6. Vinyl is EX, my highest grade, maybe played once. I’ve owned it 30 years. Bootleg! Volume One Labels say Trade Mark Of Quality (TMOQ). Some people think that’s a bad thing because so many people list their bootlegs as “not TMOQ”. I was told that is done to advise buyers the sale item is not pressed by TMOQ, so beware of the other brands out there! Whatever! Condition is Goldmine EX, vinyl, labels, and sleeve. Volume 2 came blank and I wrote info on Side 3, but I left Side 4 blank for unknown reason. No other negative issues. Looks fantastic by any standard. By the 80s EMI and Beatles fans realized the value of any Beatles Recording. Preserve everything, don’t destroy anything, clean them up, sort them, compile them, release them in any semi-organized way anyone could think of and, presto, another million selling album. Then mix them up and do it again!! Anyways, like true art, they’re great no matter which way you see or hear them! Several incredible tracks: Leave my kitten alone, Bad to me, Not guilty, Suicide, longest A Day in the Life!! When you scan thru the listed song titles you see all the songs later from the SESSIONS LP that failed to press. But eventually we’re released on the 3 volume, 9 LP set of Anthology 1-2-3.
