THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This fine UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Parlophone Co...' worded rims
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 1 centre hole
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N
Stamper codes: 3,8/GLP & 2,8/APD
Vinyl weight: 155g
Housed in an outer-laminated, inner-flipback gatefold mono cover, with original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
This copy also comes with an original clear polythene sleeve from Brian Epstein's 'NEMS' Liverpool record store

Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculately clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, revealing just some barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines visible beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
A wonderfully clean and unworn sounding disc with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or crackle which blight so many copies of this pressing. My playcheck detected a touch of regulation low-level vinyl background between tracks, but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this impossibly fragile cover, which is tough to find in anything approaching this condition
The delicate front leaf is clean and unscratched with the only significant sign of wear being a light crease to the lower right corner.
All of the edges are sharp and unworn with no tears or feathering to any and all seams of the rear pocket are smooth & unsplit.
The rear panel is equally as clean with no ringwear or creasing.
Both panels inside the gatefold are clean & unworn, with no yellowing to the white areas.
The spine is square & fully worded with no splits or tears to either of its factory-pinched ends.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with minor storage wrinkling but no writing or seam splits
