Description
In this auction:
· “FROM ME TO YOU” b/w “THANK YOU GIRL” by The Beatles
· This is Capitol Records of Canada #72101.
· First Pressings of this record were released June 17, 1963. First Pressings how the publisher as “Northern Songs, Ltd.” on both sides.
· Second Pressings, with the A-side publisher as “Ambassador Music Ltd.” and the B-side publisher as “Conrad Pub. Co., Inc.”, were released in January, 1964.
· The record in this auction is a Second Pressing, released in January, 1964
· These 2 songs were initially released in the U.S. on the Vee Jay Records label. But by early 1964, these two tunes were in high demand in the U.S., so many copies were exported to the U.S. to meet the U.S. market demand in early 1964.
· Capitol of Canada released 5 singles, including this one, before any Beatles single was released by Capitol Records in the U.S.
· The record is in NICE VG CONDITION. It has several light surface scuffs/hairlines and light wear on the B-side label. Only a very small “feel-able” scuff on the A-side near the beginning of the song kept me from grading this record VG+ Condition.
· It’s a NICE Capitol Records of Canada Pressing for someone’s vinyl collection.
