Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
George Harrison-"All Things Must Pass", a 3 LP set Capitol/Apple STCH-639, released in 1988. This is an oddball hybrid pressing, with Apple vinyl and a Capitol cover. (this not some kind of mix and match deal; this is how it was released). The cover has the songs and musicians listed on the back rather than inside the box lid like the normal cover. I've also learned since this posting that it's a Specialty pressing. The Goldmine entry for this states it has a large "S" in the dead wax. This has the "S", with an "R" and "C" in the curves of the "S". Evidently this stands for Specialty Record Company. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG+ to NM condition; LP 1 especially has a few light marks. The lyric inner sleeves all have side splits. The box is in VG condition, showing some age wear. There are no corner splits and the hinge is intact. The poster is included, in NM condition. Classic George, in overall great shape, in a very rare format. I've been collecting Beatles for 50 years and this is the only one of these I've ever seen (I don't think I've ever seen one on eBay). This is a must for the serious George/Beatles collection.
