The Beatles Help! - 1st Press MONO UK Vinyl LP album
This is an actual 1st press copy from the U.K. in 1965! (You can tell these are the first print because the font is Times New Roman, unlike the Sans Serif seen on second prints and beyond all across eBay.)
The black labels are matte finish with the bold-yellow Parlophone logo and silver print in Times New Roman font. The perimeter print has "The Gramophone Co" text with "Sold in the UK" across the center of the label. "The Beatles" band name appears on both sides of the label.
The matrix numbers are XEX.549 for side 1 and XEX.550 for side 2. This is the Mono PMC 1255 edition.
Condition:
This is a one-owner copy. The flipback cover is in fair condition with some light fraying on the right outside edge and some surface wear and creases, but overall presents well. The spine print clear and legible and there is no writing with only mild discoloration. The sleeve has corner creasing from use but no rips or tears and clear ink, in good shape for its age.
The record is VG to Excellent with clean and bright labels and some light marks around the spindle hole to show play. The heavyweight vinyl has retained its bright shine with only a few light cosmetic surface scuffs and small scratches which have no effect on play. Thank you for looking!
