Description
Hey Jude (The Beatles Again)
THE BEATLES
Beautiful still sealed original first pressing of this Beatles LP from 1970 (Apple 385). Gorgeous near mint cover still entirely sealed in its original shrinkwrap. The shrink has factory made breathe holes, a sure sign of an original seal. The cover has four sharp corners. Also, if you look at the photo of the cover you will notice that Paul's legs are just about impossible to see due to the dark color of his clothing and the background. This was the case in the first pressing. For later pressings, Capitol/Apple lightened his legs, making them more distinct against the background. This "no legs" version is an indication of an early pressing.
I do my best to provide potential bidders with the identifying code for the item, from the new standardized system of Beatles record identification created by Beatles authority/author Bruce Spizer and incorporated in the new "Price Guide for the Beatles American Records, 6th Edition" by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels. With sealed LPs this is sometimes not possible, but this LP should be APP 385.SR1.
I am listing many rare Beatles items today, July 6, 2007, the fiftieth anniversary of the day 16 year old John Lennon met 15 year old Paul McCartney. Instant Karma, as someone once said.
The winning bidder adds $4.00 for media mail shipping in the U.S., plus optional insurance. More for outside the U.S. or for priority mail.
I accept money orders, credit cards including Visa and Mastercard with PayPal, and checks, with time to clear the bank.
My preference is for money orders or certified checks. As such, as an incentive, for any item with a final bid of between $100 and $200, you can deduct two dollars from the final amount owed if you pay with a money order or certified check. For any item over $200, you may deduct five dollars. As I said, I will accept Paypal or checks with a smile and a thank you, but I want to offer you the incentive to pay with a money order or certified check.
I accept bids from and will ship to anywhere in the world. Please check out all my other auctions (combine and save on postage!) and Good Luck : )
