Description
In this auction:
· “HELLO GOODBYE” b/w “I AM THE WALRUS” by The Beatles
· This is Capitol Records P 2056.
· This record was issued in November, 1967.
· This is a 7-inch PROMO RECORD.
· As you may know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS such as the one in this auction were issued in very limited quantities and only made available for promotional purposes to, for example, DJs at the Radio Stations for on-air play or for juke box play. They were not made available to the general public, so they are VERY sought after due to their rarity and limited quantities.
· Capitol Records issued 4 green-label 45 RPM Beatles Promotion Records for: Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields, All You Need Is Love/Baby You’re a Rich Man, Lady Madonna/ The Inner Light and the record in this auction, Hello Goodbye/I Am The Walrus.
· It has the machine-stamped asterisk in the trail-off wax.
· The CONDITION of the VINYL is VG with very light surface hairlines/scuffs. There is also some wear on the labels, some very light and faded writing on the labels, and 2 sticker stains on the “I Am The Walrus” label. Please check out the images.
· Capitol Green Label Promo 45s have become tough to find.
· It’s a nice VG copy if you can’t afford a Near Mint copy.
