Description
All of the picture sleeves that are for sale this week have first pressing 45’s from the A-List of my collection. Most of these are either VG++ or Near Mint. The sleeves are at least in VG+ condition. Please have a look at them all!
Hello Goodbye/I Am The Walrus East Coast Picture Sleeve and 45 NM Vinyl
Vinyl---The “Hello Goodbye” label has a “PHILIP” sticker on it. Under normal room lighting, this 45 looks like brand new store stock condition from 1967. But under a bright bare bulb, the “Hello Goodbye” trail-off area has two extremely light lines that do NOT traverse the grooves, and that’s IT. The “I Am The Walrus” vinyl has just a few extremely short and light lines at the 10 o’clock position that normal room lighting can’t detect.
Both labels feature the music publishing credited to “Maclen Music, Inc.”
This copy contains the rare mono mix, which is very different in spots, from the stereo album mix. Ringo’s drums drop out after each “I’m crying” phrase. There are also four extra beats of music before the line, “Yellow matter custard.” That additional music was edited out of the stereo mix that we all know and love.
A beautiful piece of vinyl!
Picture Sleeve---A very solid VG+. Both sides have light wrinkles and slight outdent. The “I Am The Walrus” side has moderate ringwear. The East Coast straight-cut top has two or three tiny tears and wrinkles.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
