THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This impressive example is a UK 1st pressing dates from initial release in August 1965 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 4/RHA & 4/ROL
Vinyl weight: 152g
Housed in a from laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with an outline front mono indicator.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex...' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

A fine clean & unworn set showing just a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculate, unmarked deep-gloss playing surfaces which are free from any scuffs, marks or scratches in strong daylight. Even close and careful inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no further blemishes or wear. Both sides of this quality, heavy copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT
This cherished copy has received some careful play but is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My single careful play-check at volume picked up a touch of occasional light background but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions or faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A pristine example of this easily blemished cover which has been carefully stored away from daylight in a non-smoking environment these past 45 years. The front panel is perfectly clean & glossy with just a single small 'thumbnail' but no other wrinkles or even a single spine bend. There are tiny bruises to the upper right and lower left corners and a few faint 'pushes' to the rear opening edges but no other traces of wear anywhere. The rear panel is perfection and 'as new' with no fading or marking of any kind. Both seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit and the spine is clean & fully worded. Tough to upgrade.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean, flat and crisp with just a hint of age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
