1965 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper numbers: 7,10/GGD & 1,8/GAG

An immaculate set with just a few small marks around the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
First of all, both surfaces or this fine copy are totally free from any scuffs or scratches. The disc's only visible fault is some 'bag rash' on the surfaces which is obviously as a result of long-term inner sleeve storage. However, apart from this minor blemish, both surfaces are 'as new' and would otherwise grade 'MINT'. It's a very heavy copy, which lies 100% flat on the turntable with no traces of dishing or warping.
Play: NEAR MINT
This outstanding sounding disc has clearly been rarely, if ever, played and all tracks play 'as new'. My careful playcheck at volume detected no trace of any groovewear distortion or background noise - even on the delicate 'Yesterday. Both run-ins and all bands play without any clicks, pops or other such interference or distractions. Tough to find a better sounding copy.

EXCELLENT
An extremely strong and clean example with a bright & glossy front laminate which displays some minor toning but no 'thumbnails', spine bends are any other signs of wear whatsoever. There is minor bruising to the lower right corner but all others are clean & unbumped. Both opening edges are too completely unworn and undamaged. The rear panel is clean & white with no marks, wiriting or missing paper and all its flipbacks are fully intact. Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean, square and fully worded.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with slight toning but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
