CONDITION

Disc

Labels: VERY GOOD +

A respectable pair with numerous clumsy spindle trails but no writing or missing paper.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surfaces are extremely clean & glossy and free from any marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a small number of wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines. It's a nice heavy copy which lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Play: VERY GOOD

This copy has received a number of plays and some light groove/play wear is audible, notably on some loud peaks and 'Ticket To Ride'. My careful play-check also picked up 5 clicks on 'Tell Me What You See' and some background on 'Yesterday'. However, there is still much to enjoy and there are no jumps, repeats or any other major faults throughout.

Cover

VERY GOOD +

Such was the high standard of quality control within EMI, the chances of misfits such as this cover leaving the factory were highly unusual. This rare example is clean & firm and retains a bright, clean & glossy front panel. There is a hint of toning along the front opening edge but it is free from any 'thumbnails' or other significant wear. There is minor shelfwear bruising to the lower corners but both opening edges are damage-free. The rear panel has a faint stain towards the unevenly factory cut edge and some handling marks are also present. However, all flipbacks are fully intact and both seams are unstressed and unsplit and the spine is fully worded.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD -

Clean white but with general storage creasing and small splits to the side & lower seams.
