1965 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This EXCELLENT copy is a UK 1st mono pressing dating from August 1965 release and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 9/HH & 1/GOA
Vinyl weight: 156g
Housed in front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with an outlined front mono indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & unworn pair with just a small handful of light spindle trails to the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean & bright with the only blemishes visible in strong daylight being a single fingernail scuff line on side 2 and some harmless inner-sleeve storage marks, but nothing I would call a scratch. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than amplify these marks but adds no further significant wear. Both sides of this rarely played copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT
This superb sounding copy has received only minimal careful play on good equipment and my careful playcheck at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion, background or any other such wear. In fact, apart from a touch of light/normal background between tracks, there is little to fault here. A great listening copy.

EXCELLENT -
A fine & clean example which has been stored in a clean, non-smoking environment for the past 45 years. The front panel is bright & clean with a handful of 'thumbnail' wrinkles and a little flaking of the laminate towards the opening edge. The corners are in fine shape with no major bumps or bruising to any. The rear panel is clean & bright overall with just a hint of toning towards the opening edge but no writing or missing paper anywhere. All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and the seams and spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.

Clean, flat & crisp with just a few light storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
