Labels: EXCELLENT +
A striking set which apart from a handful of well-aimed spindle trails around each unworn centre hole are in immaculate condition.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which in strong daylight display a small few small non-feelable hairlines over track 5 on side 1 and some harmless wispy marks consistent with inner-sleeve removal, but nothing which affects sound or play in any way. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp reveals a few more wispy marks but little more of any significance. Both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Clean sounding mono copies of this album are hard to find. Fortunately this copy has received just a handful of careful plays on high-end equipment and is free from any of the usual crackle or wear found on this pressing. My single careful play-check found absolutely no evidence of any groove/playwear on any track or channel - even on the innermost tracks on each side and no clicks, pop or other such noises. The explosive title track and masterful but easily worn 'Yesterday' both played without any audible distractions. In fact, apart from an touch of light/normal low-level vinyl background between tracks, there really is little to fault on this great sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A strong and unworn example of this easily blemished cover which retains a bright & clean front panel laminate with just three of four faint 'thumbnails' towards the opening edge but no other signs of wear. All corners and both opening edges are sharp and unworn. The unprotected rear panel is bright & white with only a few faint fingermarks and a tiny piece of missing paper on the upper flipback in the right corner preventing a higher grade.
Both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
Some faint handling marks & light storage bends, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
