THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 2/MD & 5/MG
Vinyl weight: 159g
Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with an outline 'mono' front indicator.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A sparkling set which bear a collection of light spindle trails (mostly to side 1) around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are factory-fresh and completely unmarked in strong daylight. Even closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this heavy, well-preserved copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This copy has received minimal careful play and there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. The sound overall is clean & powerful and my single careful play-check at volume detected just some minor playwear to the final track on each side. However, the entire album is free from any background interference, clicks, pops or any other such distraction and still much to enjoy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A respectable example of this easily blemished cover which retains a bright & clean front panel which, like so many early copies quickly yellowed on exposure to daylight. The front panel is otherwise extremely clean and glossy with just a single small 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the front opening edge but no other signs of wear. There is bruising to each corner but both opening edges are clean, unworn & undamaged. The exposed rear panel is extremely clean & white with fingermarks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean, crisp & uncreased and free from any writing, seam splits or tears.
