1965 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from initial release in August 1965 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the outlined front stereo indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1

A bright and vibrant set with numerous spindle marks around the side 2 centre hole but less on 1.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & retain all of thier deep-gloss shines with the only significant blemishes are two 5mm marks on side 2 which are just feelable beneth my fingertips. however, close examination directly beneath my unforgiving poweful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow shine and a small amount of harmless inner-sleeve removal marks and no additional marks or wear.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This very respectable sounding copy has received a moderate amount of play but is without any no significant deterioration to the sound quality throughout. The only audible distration comes from the two aforementioned marks which produce a few faint 'pops' on 'Ive Just Seen A Face' and a few slightly louder ones at the end of 'Yesterday'.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A superb example of this easily blemished cover which displays a clean glossy and most importantly, white front panel bearing four light 'thumbnail' wrinikles but no other cresing or wear at all. All corners are in great shape with only the tiniest bruise to each but nothe opening edges are clean, sharp and unworn. The rear panel is faultless and as clean 'as new' with no marks or bleimshes to any part. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the unbent spine are smooth, unstressed and totally unworn.
